Maduro Rejects European Ultimatum on Elections After US Recognises Opposition Leader as Interim President

The conflict between the President and the opposition leader Juan Guaido began after opposition leader declared himself the Latin American country's interim leader. After US recognised Guaido as Venezuela's interim president seven European nations, including Britain, France, Germany and Spain, have said they will do likewise unless Maduro calls presidential elections.
